Amazing. Sophisticated flavours and depth of food. Excellent broth in the Soto Sensation and the ingredients plentiful. Deep richness in the green tea coconut pana cotta.

Golden Ox Noodles exceeded my expectations. The Oxtail Soup was rich and deeply savory—the meat just fell off the bone. I also highly recommend the Fusion Crunch Salad if you want something bright and refreshing to balance the meal. 10/10. Atmosphere is warm, inviting and cozy. It’s my new favourite stop in Ottawa.

Ohmygosh this place was all around so good. We started with the satay bites since it was recommended to us by our server, and it was addictive. Could eat like 10 of those. Then for the main i got the golden twirls, also recommended by the server since he said it was his favourite. I ate that bowl of noodles so fast. My partner was surprised haha. If you want to support local and are in the mood for some noodles, I’d highly recommend this place! We talked to the owner briefly and he seemed super sweet and seems very passionate about cooking. Also just all around a very hospitable feel to the place

Today we went to try out Golden Ox Noodles and let’s just say… THEIR WINGS ARE A MUST. TRUST ME. 😭🔥
These are hands down the best wings we’ve ever had in our lives — no wings in Ottawa even come close. We’ve tried wings all over Canada and the USA, and these still take the win. I’d honestly come back just for the wings. Such a hidden gem!
The staff were super friendly and the place is cute and cozy inside. The fusion salad could use a bit more flavour, but it was definitely fresh and crunchy. The twist & sizzle noodles weren’t bad either, though next time I’ll try something different.
Bottom line: GO FOR THE WINGS. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!! 🍗🔥

Went to for lunch as I had been seeing lots of social media posts for Golden Ox. Unfortunately I left unsatisfied.
Started with the meatballs, wings and satay skewers. The meatballs were very dry and the wings were bland. Skewers were good with a decent peanut sauce.
We were 4 and we each tried a different noodle dish. The seafood laksa was on the sweeter side. My ox tail soup was the best out of the 4 dishes. Broth was nice and hot and had a good flavor profile. The other two non broth noodle dishes were the pork belly noodles and the peanut sauce noodle. The peanut sauce was way too much for the noodle ratio. It made the dish too goopy and it was just a big ball of mush.
There was only one server who seemed very frazzled and the restaurant was almost full.

Amazing experience at Golden ox! Everything was delicious, fresh, flavourful and interesting. My husband and I got: the chicken satay, the tempe-tations, the risoles, and the seafood laksa (but I got mine with chicken). Everything was perfectly cooked. Service was also excellent and everything was perfectly timed when it came out. I love the interior design of this restaurant and I also love the whimsical, appetizing names they gave the dishes. We will 100% be returning!
